- Before using your chafing dish, hand-wash with warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Always operate chafing dish on a level, sturdy table or other flat, stable surface.
- Make sure water and food pans are placed correctly and fit securely in the stand.

General Use & Care
- Before using your chafing dish, hand-wash with warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Always operate chafing dish on a level, sturdy table or other flat, stable surface.
- Make sure water and food pans are placed correctly and fit securely in the stand.
- The food pan is safe for preheating food in the oven at temperatures up to 400°F (204°C) without lid. Glass lid is oven-safe up to 350°F (176°C). However, prolonged oven use at high temperatures may cause discoloration.
- Set water pan into stand and fill with water. Do not exceed waterline mark inside pan. Water may be preheated for faster operation.
- Place chafing fuel canister within recess on tray and use a long-stemmed match or long-tipped lighter to light chafing fuel canister at center hole.
- For best heat efficiency, keep lid on food pan.
- Do not move or tip chafing fuel canister and/or stand once chafing fuel canister is lit.
- Always use an oven mitt when handling hot parts.
- When removing lid during use, tilt the lid to direct steam away from the user. Carefully place the lid in the holder when serving.
- Periodically check water level, as water will evaporate during use.
- Keep chafing fuel canister cap handy while chafing dish is in use, so flame can be extinguished when cooking/heating is complete.

Chafing Fuel Canister:
- Chafing fuel canister must be properly placed within recess on fuel canister tray prior to lighting.
- Never light chafing fuel canister outside of designated fuel canister tray.
- Light product with a long-stemmed match or long-tipped lighter.
- Do not burn unattended. Do not touch chafing fuel canister when lit.
- Always use upright on level surface.
- Do not place in direct contact with tabletop, table cloth or near combustible materials.
- Never use more than one chafing fuel canister at a time.
- To extinguish, use chafing fuel canister cap as a snuffer.
- Keep chafing fuel canister tightly sealed when not in use.

Warning:
Chafing fuel is harmful if swallowed. If swallowed, call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately.
Do not induce vomiting. Keep out of the reach of children.

Cleaning:
- Allow water and food pans to cool completely in the stand.
- Do not leave or store food remains in chafing dish for long periods of time as superficial pitting may occur.
- Remove all contents and wash chafing dish and components with warm soapy water. All stainless steel parts are dishwasher-safe. However, we recommend hand-drying each part immediately after the rinse cycle or washing and drying by hand to preserve the original finish.
- Prolonged exposure to high heat settings may cause the chafing dish to discolor. To recondition your chafing dish or to remove stubborn spots or stains, use a nonabrasive pad and quality stainless steel cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend®.

Cold Foods
- Your chafing dish is also great for chilling seafood or fruits.
- Use crushed ice or a mixture of ice and water in water pan to chill foods.

Important Warnings:
- Do not use denatured alcohol, serious injury could occur.
- To avoid injury or spills, do not move or carry chafing stand while chafing dish is full or chafing fuel canister is lit.
- Do not leave an open flame unattended.
- Always use an oven mitt when handling a hot chafing fuel canister.
- Always extinguish flame and allow chafing fuel canister to cool before disposing.
- Keep chafing dish away from children, and always store chafing fuel canister in a child-safe place.
- Use caution when removing the glass lid; rising steam will be hot.

Tempered Glass Lids:
- Industrial glass is tempered by a controlled thermal treatment process to increase its strength when compared with normal glass.
- Tempering creates balanced internal stresses which cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards.
- The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. Under normal usage, and by following the instructions below, tempered glass lids are safer for use within household kitchens.
- However, extra caution must be used when handling glass lids.
- When cleaning a glass lid, do not use abrasive cleansers, steel wool or coarse scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface of the glass lid, which may cause breakage over time.

Thermal Shock:
- Avoid sudden temperature changes such as placing a hot lid on a cold surface or immersing a hot lid in cold water.
- Always let the lid cool before washing, as sudden temperature changes can break the glass.
- Do not place a cold lid from the refrigerator directly in a heated oven or on a food pan. Allow the lid to reach room temperature prior to use.

- Do not immerse hot lid in cold water
- Thermal shock can cause a tempered glass lid to shatter
- Immediately discontinue use of a damaged lid
