- Before using your cookware for the first time, hand-wash with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Cook using low to medium heat only. Cookware with tri-ply base construction requires only low to medium heat to sauté, fry or cook most foods.
- Keep the cookware on the burner only during the necessary time for cooking.
- Your cookware is oven-safe up to 350°F (176°C). Even though the handles and lids are oven-safe, they will get hot in the oven and on the stovetop, particularly gas stoves where an open flame is used.
- Do not leave or store food remains in the cookware for long periods of time.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes such as immersing hot cookware in cold water.

CLEANING AND CARING FOR YOUR TRI-PLY BASE COOKWARE
- Stainless steel cookware is dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand washing and drying to preserve the original finish.
- Prolonged exposure to high heat settings may cause your cookware to discolor. To recondition your cookware or to remove stubborn spots or stains, use a nonabrasive pad and quality stainless steel cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend®.

- TO AVOID INJURY, ALWAYS USE PROTECTIVE MITTS WHEN HANDLING HOT COOKWARE

USING YOUR LID
- To ensure that the drain holes are completely clean, soak the Lock & Drain lid in hot, soapy water for a few minutes and then gently scrub with a nonabrasive pad.
- For everyday boiling of foods that require draining, you can attach the lid before cooking by following these simple instructions.

IMPORTANT!
TO AVOID INJURY OR SPILLS, MAKE SURE THE LOCK & DRAIN LID IS IN THE LOCKED POSITION BEFORE DRAINING THE CONTENTS OF YOUR PASTA COOKER.

CAUTION!
- Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling hot cookware.
- To avoid injury or spills, make sure the lock & drain lid is in the locked position before draining the contents of your cookware.
- Firmly grasp the side handles so that the contents drain away from you and only from the strainer lid holes. Make sure entire pasta cooker is within the sink edge or counter for added support and a towel to keep the pot from slipping.
- Drain the contents slowly while averting your face and arms from the steam.
